Holes screwed in wrong place, 8 July 2013
This product should have been easy enough to assemble given that it has 12 pre-drilled holes and comes with all the necesary screws. However, the pre-drilled holes have not been centered / aligned properly so when you screw it in to position in one area, it's then at an angle for the other screws holes and they don't fit. We still can't screw in some of the screws properly and the product has ended up quite scuffed from our trying to force it all in to place. Not very child friendly looking and certainly not value for the money we paid for it.I can see someone else on this review list had the same problem, whereas others did not, so it seems a bit hit or miss.When you receive the product I'd check that all the holes seem aligned and if they don't then I'd return it before attempting to put it together, so you don't end up with a product in an unreturnable condition like we did.

I bought this for my littlest one to go with my bathroom when we re-decorated. Its a nice height & withstands being jumped on etc. Despite it being wooden it just needs a cloth wiped over it & it cleans up nicely.

Hard to put together, 15 Aug. 2013
It took a lot of work to make this ok as the fixings were too long and so when put in place they stuck through the top of the steps and had to be filed down and the top repainted. The wood split in other places too when the screws were fitted because the holes were not properly aligned. The finished, filed and repainted stool is just what was wanted but it took some skillful work to get it into shape.
