I was pleased with this - apart from the packaging, it's very nice.

You get an attractive, brightly coloured plastic cube, about 6 inches square, with a close fitting lid on one side. It feels quite solid, and I think it would take some force to bend or break it.

You also get 18 plastic shapes (3 different colours); to be inserted through various holes in the side of the cube, and which can be stored inside it. The shapes are hollow, but quite strong, with no snags or rough edges. There are 15 different shapes in all (3 shapes are repeated, to make it up to 18).

I tested this by giving it to my friend's 1 year old son, and he definitely showed some interest. First, he picked up the shapes, and threw them about, then he banged the cube around for a while. After being shown how to "use" the cube, he tried to force some of the shapes into any available holes, before stacking them on the top. Alright product with an over-inflated price tag, 2 Nov. 2015

This product is exactly what it says it is, a plastic shape sorter. It's of a decent quality and I am happy to let my nieces and nephew play with it.However, this product loses a star for the fact that it's price is quite hight for what it is and the RRP is definitely over inflated. This feels like a ploy to make it feel as though you are getting a bargain and it's definitely not.The second lost star is because the box is completely decorated in an oriental language with no sign of English anywhere. This isn't a problem if you are buying a gift for your own kids, but if you're buying it as a present for a relative or a friend's kid then you are going to look like some cheapskate buying knockoff toys.Overall I can't give it lower than a 3 because it does what is expected of it and the toy is alright. But the box and RRP make me caution others from buying what I have seen in Poundland for a similar quality at a fifteenth of the price.
