A good solid construction that my 6 year old nephew found challenging, 11 Nov. 2015

This product was sent to for review and arrived in a coloured inner box, which itself was well protected by a thick layer of bubble wrap.The quality of the item is good and whilst the weight is medium, the size is medium too. The design is modern, retro, fun and colourful, with primary colours.The detailing is quite good with no obvious issues with the beech, pine and steel sheet. What I like about this is the traditional look and the challenging factor of hitting the balls into the holes with the hammer. You also get the screwdriver for the large screws on the side.In use, my 6 year old nephew liked this, mainly because he couldn't get the 4 balls to fall into the holes initially and that gave him a challenge.One obvious area for improvement here would be to make the balls and holes bigger as I was always concerned about the swallowing risk. He was OK when I was with him though.

Take-a-part truck, with hammer and screwdriver, 31 Oct. 2015

This is a very nice wooden learning toy set. Your toddler will love playing with the truck in its assembled state. However as your child becomes more inquisitive and dexterous, you can encourage him/her to reaches for the screwdriver, Your child can learn to disassemble, and reassemble their new truck friend. I have found that this is entertaining, and educational.

The toys is very traditional, and very entertaining. I didn't want my son to be over stimulated with electronic gadgets and gizmos at his current age, but this toy is an excellent way for a child to develop hand/eye co-ordination. There are 4 coloured balls, and 4 corresponding coloured holes. With the aid of a tap from the hammer, the balls can be loaded into the trucks body. The balls will return through the arched opened at the rear of the truck.

Durable and suitable for strengthening fine motor skills, 16 Oct. 2015

This truck combines a multitude of learning possibilities. Children can learn four basic colours, learn to match colour of ball to the colour of the hole.

they can hone their fine motor skills by:

- screwing and unscrewing the parts of the truck

- using the hammer to pop the balls into the truck

- moving the truck to make the balls come out of the mouse hole, sorry ball hole

- using their hands to pop the balls into the holes at the top of the truck

- using the screwdriver or the hammer

- driving/pushing the truck around

Wooden toys are very durable and are quite popular with many parents.

As you can see in the video, if your child finds it difficult to hammer the balls or handle the hammer,then you have the option of taking the plastic coloured rings out of the holes.
