WHAT IS GLYCOLIC ACID?
Glycolic acid is perhaps the best known of a group of chemicals called fruit acids or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA). It is derived from sugar cane, so it can be considered a natural product. Citric acid from oranges and other citrus fruits also fall under the same classification as glycolic acid. Glycolic acid works as an exfoliating agent because of its high acidity but easy solubility. Glycolic Acid goes under the damaged upper layers of skin and destroys the 'glue' which holds dead skin to the surface. As this dead skin is exfoliated, new clear skin surfaces from beneath. The result is a much smoother skin surface and a more youthful appearance.

I had been wanting to make this purchase for a long time but have to admit I was pretty scared. I had a course of 6 Glycolic peels at a clinic 6 years a go & I paid £500 so I was delighted when I found I could do it myself for under £40! The results of the peels I had done at the clinic were amazing but it did take 3 - 4 months to see the full results so I already knew what to expect. I think everyone should keep in mind that the very best results take this long to be seen so you do have to be patient. As someone who suffers with hormonal cystic acne as one of the delightful symptoms of PCOS I have a lot of issues with my skin. Very visible pores, spots, combination skin(for me that's an oily t zone but very dehydrated parched skin elsewhere) The downsides of having it done in the clinic were the price & also the lady who did it was very rude & insensitive. She told me my skin was " As dry as old bones " not very professional in my opinion! So I wasn't prepared plus couldn't...

I have tried Glycolic Acid before but only 15% and 25% so this time i wanted more results so i decided to buy the Yavonae 70%. I am currently living in Spain but the package arrived in great condition and looks Professional. I went out and bought a brush which i could use to put the solution on my face i came home and in the mirror applied the Acid peel to my entire face as little as 1 minute i could feel the peel working.
I would say it's more of a light tingle with a sensation to itch rather than burning i left the solution on for 10 minutes and washed my face. I wanted a deeper peel so i then re-applied the acid to my...
