Worth sterilizing a few times before use to get rid of the plasticky smell. I found after water had been in the bottle for an hour or so it started smelling strongly like plastic. Used a microwave sterilizer a few times and that did the trick. A friend used the Milton tablet sterilizer and that worked too.My son loves the cup. Took him a few hours of experimenting to learn how to suck the straw. He started with the Zoli cup at about 9 months old. Dot worry if it takes longer for your baby to work out the straw, it'll happen :)
