This was a very raved about BB cream... so I decided to try it out for myself.

I think the packaging is very smart and compact but is also very appealing to young women/teens because of its hot pink colour. It is very hygienic because of the pump and it is easy to limit yourself when putting it on your face (so you don't pile it on and end up looking very cakey) by just using one/two pumps.

The main functions include sunblock, whitening and anti-aging. You get SPF25 which is a very decent amount of protection for your face (however you can get BB creams with higher SPF!) and I have experienced whitening properties; and when I mean whitening, I mean it's more like lightening your dark spots such as the corners of your mouth etc. so that actually does what it claims to do! I'm uncertain about the anti-aging claims because I do not have wrinkles to test them on, but if you're looking for anti-aging specific BB creams, I would try the Skin79 GOLD plus rather than this one...

The skin79 hotpink BB cream has been raved by the beauty community for ages now and I was so thrilled when it finally became available on Amazon UK. If you have done research on the BB cream then there's nothing else to be said, the product fits with the reviews I've read.

Since BB cream came from S.Korea, I asked my Korean friend to recommend the most popular BB cream in Korea and she gave me a sample of the ETUDE BB cream and I did a little comparison.

Color:

Skin 79: Appears gray but eventually blends into your own skin color.

ETUDE: Has a warm undertone and does not look frightening at first, it also blends well.

Consistency:

Skin 79: very creamy

ETUDE: less creamy (and perhaps a bit easier to apply since you do not have to rub that hard to get it spread on your face)

Scent:

Skin 79: has a somewhat strong scent, may not appeal to all.

ETUDE: has a very faint smell and will probably not bother anyone...

Useful bit of kit, 17 May 2014

Not sure about all the wild claims for this product but I do find it is brilliant for removing bags under the eyes after a sleepless night or unsightly thread veins on cheeks etc. You use such a small amount that I'm sure it will last for years!
