Fairly priced, looks very nice, small problem with overactive sensor, 23 Jun. 2016

This item is a night light featuring a character that looks very similar to 'Totoro' from the 'My Neighbour Totoro' anime cartoon. The design itself is very cute and features a big 'Totoro' like creature, a smaller companion creature and a toadstool. I choose the blue colour, there are other options available. The item comes from China so it took around 3 weeks to arrive which I expected. The item itself was fairly priced as I have seen it elsewhere on the internet for 5 times the cost I paid for on Amazon. It arrived well packaged and in one piece. The item comes with a USB charger that you can plug into a computer or plug adaptor to charge. I left it to charge overnight, although it did have some charge in it straight out of the box. Once charged it lit the room up very brightly, perhaps too brightly to sleep by, but I can use it as a reading light for my 2 year old daughter. Keeps its charge for absolutely ages. I've used it several nights in a row without bothering to charge it, and even then I only plugged it in 'just in case'. It has a nice quality feel to it and is very bright. I would change two things - I would prefer a standard Micro USB charger, and I would put the switch on the side. The vibration sensor mode is really sensitive, so I tend to switch it on and off manually in case I knock it by accident. The switch is on the underside which can be a bit awkward.But this really is a beautiful little lamp and I still squeal when I look at it... Look out for the bird lamps from the same manufacturer.

Adorable!, 1 Sept. 2016

The main attraction of this nightlight was initially for me the cute little character who strongly resembles Totoro. Up close, the resemblance isn't as striking as in the images, but the whole design of the light is still adorable. The USB function is super practical, although you do need to charge the light regularly especially if you use it on a nightly basis.I mainly use the full light mode as opposed to the sensor function; I've found that the sensor is a bit too sensitive for my needs. The full mode works perfectly though, and it emits a nice soft but comforting light (I have the orange version which may contribute to this effect).Overall really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it.
